Hi there! I’m Ross, and I’m a travel and lifestyle blogger from a small village in Fife, Scotland. I’m a full-time Senior Multimedia Designer for a technology company specialising in eLearning and regularly blog as a creative outlet where I can share my photos and adventures. I’m a huge lover of travel and small group adventure holidays with Trek America, photography, design, men’s lifestyle and technology.

Road Tripping the USA with TrekAmerica

The concept for this blog began in 2013 when I decided to take the first steps towards living a life long dream to travel America and take on the classic all-American road trip. I booked my place on a Trek America road trip around the Eastern USA – The Best of The East and blogged the whole experience covering everything from what to pack, trip reports and how to save money for travel. My goal was to encourage readers to take the plunge into solo travel and offer a complete guide to travelling with Trek America, dispelling the myths of solo travel.

Since starting the blog, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Trek America on blog posts including Tales from a Trekker – Travelling solo with Trek America and have been featured on Trek America’s blog as one of their ‘Blogs that we love’. Since completing my last Trek, I’ve booked onto my second, the Westerner and will be hitting the road again in October 2015. Keep an eye out for a full series of posts on the run up to this Trek later in the year.

I’m also slowly developing this blog to include travel and lifestyle articles from closer to home, not forgetting how fortunate I am to live in such a beautiful country. One of my most popular posts of recent is Five reasons why I love Glencoe.

Me at the White House

I graduated with an 2:1 Honours Degree in Digital Media in 2011 from Edinburgh Napier University.  Since graduating, I now work for a technology company specialising in eLearning.  I am responsible for creating an engaging design for eLearning and eassessment, UI/ UX design for websites and web applications and the development of our in-house marketing and websites.  From a young age, I have always had an interest in art, design and computing so I guess I’ve landed the ideal role!

When I’m not at work or blogging, I enjoy gaming on my Xbox One and keeping up with the latest trends in technology and design.  As well as reading travel blogs, I regularly read Creative Bloq to keep up with the latest industry trends. I also enjoy photography (as you might have guessed!) and getting out for walks and runs.
